Today our students participated in shared online game called ‘Who is who?’. The task was very complex and challenging.
To make this game happen, students from each partner country had to choose three people who had meaningful impact on the history and/or culture in their country. The next step was searching the key information about chosen characters and preparing short description in English. Last but not least thing was sharing the photos of famous personalities with all partners. Finally, students had to practise pronunciation and fluency in reading, because their descriptions were used in the game as listening task.
The main goal of the game was to find names of ‘the hidden people’ and the information about their main work . Students were listening to the description during google hangout session. They had to focus on the key information and use them while searching the names on the internet. During this phase of the activity students were practising listening skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
The winner became the country with more points. To get the point students had to write the correct name and some information and match it with the correct photo in shared SMARTAMP workspace.
This time the winner is our friends’ class from Greece. Congratulations!
